In light of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ambitions to impose tariffs on Canada, it is crucial for Canadians to take actionable steps to safeguard our economy and sovereignty. First, exchange any U.S. currency you hold into Canadian dollars to support our national currency.
For each tariff imposed, divest the same percentage of American stocks in your investment portfolio, and transfer it into Canadian TSX companies, demonstrating our collective resistance. Additionally, consider boycotting Tesla stock and products related to the company, sending a clear message of our economic power.

By prioritizing Canadian-made goods, supporting local businesses and advocating for policy changes, we can stand united against these economic pressures. Together, our resilience and determination will show that Canada cannot be undermined.

Ordinary Canadian rejects becoming American
I’m just an ordinary Canadian citizen living in Saskatchewan. I’m nobody special, but I felt compelled to express my disagreement with businessman Kevin O’Leary and against Canada becoming a part of the United States.
In my opinion, U.S. President Donald Trump will never be satisfied. No matter how much wealth, power or fame he gets, he constantly needs more. What he stands for goes against almost everything that I had been taught growing up. He is loyal to one person only — himself.
I don’t trust him any farther than I could throw my heaviest grandfather. If O’Leary wants to advocate the position for Canada to become part of the United States that is his choice, but please do not delude yourself into thinking that this is what a majority of Canadians want.

Being from Saskatchewan, I am no fan of Justin Trudeau’s policies, but my disdain is even greater for Trump’s recent political moves. So I have a suggestion for O’Leary: If you want to advocate Canada joining the United States, why don’t you throw your name into the political ring?
If your positions are so popular, then you should be able to represent a riding and present your views. If you choose not to follow this route, that is a totally acceptable choice. However, please do not “negotiate” on our behalf if you aren’t prepared to face any consequences from that position.

Trump a deliberate arsonist
It is quite possible that Donald Trump knows exactly what he is doing — start many fires and create confusion, disarray, social tension, mistrust and economic upheavals. Soon there may be outcry for anyone — maybe even for the arsonist — to “restore” law and order, at any price.
Mr. Arsonist, you may bend and break normal conventions, but the laws of Earth cannot be ignored or broken without penalty.
