Oliver Glasner confirms Matheus Franca is on track with his recovery

Oliver Glasner has revealed that Matheus Franca is on track with his recovery from a recurring groin injury.
After Sunday’s cup victory, Glasner said that the Brazilan would be out until the spring but clarified his quotes in his pre-Leicester press conference.
The Eagles boss confirmed the attacker has not suffered a fresh setback and hopes to have him available in March.
“It looks like spring today,” Glasner chuckled.
“He is training, it is not a setback or new injury. He had a bit of a reaction in his hip area.
“With the surgery and all the problems in the last months, we are very cautious.
“He is training. When I say spring, it is now the middle of January, so let’s say maybe in March.
“He also needs consistent training over weeks, and minutes with our under-21s and getting back into his best shape. Then he will be ready for us. When I say spring, I mean March time.
“I don’t want to put too much pressure on him. When you are out for eight months it is important to get back into the best shape, getting to a stable level with training and playing.
“We want to see the best Franca possible. Crystal Palace have never seen the best Franca because he came from Brazil as a 19-year-old and took time to adapt to the Premier League while struggling with injuries.
“It’s now about supporting him to be the best Franca he can be and then he will have a very positive impact.”
