Before signing an executive order to ban transgender women and girls from competing in female school sports, US President Donald Trump claimed two boxers from the Paris 2024 Olympics “transitioned” to female, and “stole” titles from biological women. This statement refers to Algeria’s Imane Khelif and Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting, and there is no evidence that either boxer is anything but a cisgender woman.
